The Humboldt County Office of Education (HCOE) is dedicated to advocating for the needs of local districts and students. It provides expanded learning opportunities, promotes improved student achievement, and supports fiscal responsibility in local school districts. HCOE manages a large school library collection, offers online subscriptions to media and resources to support student learning, and assists patrons with selections. Additionally, HCOE is involved in various initiatives, including the Global Classroom Connect Program, which fosters international learning and project-based collaborations between Humboldt County students and their peers in Taiwan. This program aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, promoting sustainability and global citizenship.
